Welcome to Swas, operated by Bit Microsystems LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account and using the app or this website, you agree to the terms below. We have kept them short and honest. How we handle your data is covered separately in our privacy policy. If something here doesn't sit right, please don't use Swas and email [email protected] so we can do better.
The service
Swas is a free breathing app. There are no ads, ever. The full set of techniques, animations, and audio is available at no cost. We may add new techniques, retire old ones, or change how features work, and we may stop offering the service entirely. We will give reasonable notice if a change meaningfully affects you.
Your account
You sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address you verify with a one-time code. You are responsible for keeping that sign-in secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, sign out of all devices in app settings and contact us. One account per person, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Swas Pro
Swas Pro is an optional subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks your unlimited breathing history; without it, your history covers the last 2 days. Pro is purchased as an in-app purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and billing is handled entirely by them:
- The price is shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we can't issue them directly, but email us and we will help you navigate it.
- If your subscription ends, you keep using Swas free — only history older than 2 days is removed.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. Deletion is scheduled 7 days out and you are signed out everywhere immediately; signing back in within those 7 days cancels it. After 7 days your account and personal data are permanently deleted, as described in the privacy policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active Pro subscription — cancel that in your App Store or Google Play settings.
Acceptable use
Use Swas for its intended purpose: your own breathing practice. Don't try to break it, probe for vulnerabilities, scrape it, automate against it, resell access to it, or use it to harm anyone.
Affiliate program
You can apply in the app to become a Swas affiliate. If we approve your application — approval is at our discretion — you receive codes that give new subscribers a discount and earn you a share of attributed Pro payments. The details:
- Earnings accrue when a payment is attributed to one of your codes. If a payment is refunded, reversed, or fraudulent, the matching earning is reversed too.
- Payouts are made monthly via PayPal or Stripe. You must provide accurate payout details, and you are responsible for any taxes on what you earn.
- Fair play — no self-referrals, no spam, no misleading claims about Swas (especially health claims), and no bidding on our brand in ads. We may revoke affiliate status and withhold earnings tied to abuse.
- Ending it — either of us can end your participation at any time. If you delete your account, your affiliate participation ends and your codes are deactivated; email us about any outstanding balance.
Medical disclaimer
Swas is not a medical device, not a therapist, and not a substitute for medical care. The breathing practices in the app are intended for general wellbeing and have been used safely for centuries — but some techniques (especially long retentions or rapid breathing) are not appropriate for everyone. If you are pregnant, have heart, lung, or blood-pressure conditions, a history of seizures, untreated anxiety or panic disorder, or any other health concern, please consult a qualified clinician before practicing. If you feel dizzy, faint, or distressed at any point, stop and breathe normally. Never practice while driving, standing, or in water.
Our content
The app, its techniques as presented, animations, audio, and text are ours or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use them within the app. The breathing traditions themselves belong to everyone.
Termination
We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms — we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. You can stop using Swas, or delete your account, at any time.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" without any warranty, express or implied. We do our best to keep it running, secure, and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Swas and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any direct claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (zero, if you use Swas for free). Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and we will always engage with serious complaints in good faith.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, and any dispute that cannot be resolved by writing to us first will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email and on this page at least 14 days before they take effect.
